I wanted to tell you of my recent purchase - a mobile phone manufactured by some minor brand called mobistel.
My wife loves it, since she is using it as a handheld gaming cosole (I haven't seen her playing on her nintendo ds since we
have the phone ^^). I am excited to have it too but because of different reasons than her.
I am a fan of Guido Karp's work. Besides his awesome pictures of musicians like The Scorpions, Robbie Williams, The Rolling Stones and many more,
he released several books of which one shows pictures only taken with a mobile phone.
Since I got that book I wanted to try it myself....and finally I had the chance to do it.
This is my first work, taken with my mobile phone.
It was fun doing it and comparing it with my other home studio shots there is little difference. Ok, the hair is not as hairy as in the pictures taken with my
"bigger" camera, but the results are still pleasing. At least that is what I am thinking.
There is one topic that made me realize how much a "bigger" camera helps while shooting people.
Some models still seem to think that a big camera means that you take good pictures by having that camera.
When I switched to my mobile phone after talking about the project I still received a "this will be shitty" - look, even though that I promised that the result would equal the other pictures.
Just wanted to share it.
